Facebook launched two new video calling devices. Expanding its portfolio of video calling devices, Facebook unveiled Portal Go and Portal +. Portal devices were launched in 10 and 14 inch screen sizes. Interestingly, Facebook kicked off its video calling days ahead of Amazon’s hardware event scheduled to take place on September 28. Announcing its Portal devices, Facebook said in its blog, “Today we welcome two new additions to the Portal family of video calling devices: the 10-inch portable Portal Go, our next-generation Portal + with a 14 inch tilting HD screen. display. Portal Go, Portal +: Price and availability
Portal Go was launched in the US for $ 199 (Rs 14,737 approximately) and Portal + launched at $ 349 (Rs 25,000 approximately). Portal Go and Portal + will start shipping on October 19; pre-orders are now open on portal.facebook.com. Facebook has not disclosed whether it plans to launch the devices in other markets, including India.

Portal Go + has a 14 inch screen while Portal Go has a 10 inch screen. Facebook said Portal Go brings smart camera video calling to a new portable version. Portal devices come with long lasting batteries for easy portability. Portal Go has a 12MP camera with an ultra-wide field of view for immersive video calls. The device can also be used as a portable speaker with room-filling sound
The Portal Go + also has a 14-inch display and a 12-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide field of view. Speaking about its features, Facebook said, “Its stereo speakers deliver high fidelity sound for crystal clear sound. With the rise of remote and hybrid work models, Portal provides a dedicated display perfect for business calls, freeing up your computer to take notes, display a presentation, or multitask. And it’s also great for connecting with family and friends when the workday is over.
