The Samsung Galaxy A53 will have two versions of the chipset
Pumpino, 5 hours agoThe GSMA review of the A52s said: “Our review unit can use a Samsung s5kgw1p sensor … moreJust a few more info:
The A52s has an additional macro and depth camera. The S20-fe does not have one but has a “low” x3 telephoto lens (with OIS). The A52s has a x2 telephoto mode that uses the main camera. Both silent, the S20-fe pulls a bit further and sharper, the A52s has slightly more precise colors / details.
Their ultra-wide cameras are the same.
The S20-fe has a better main camera, but when you QuadBayer the A52s from 64MP to 16MP, and use the macro and depth camera enhancements. Well, it’s very similar and gets somewhat situational. Arguably the A52s has the best configuration, but it depends very, very heavily on the algorithm of the camera software. We have Gcam and OpenCamera ported and working on the S20-fe, which works great. It’s harder to get them to work well on QuadBayer setups, so I don’t think it’s going to win on that front. We haven’t ported them to the A52-S yet. WHEN we get the bootloader unlock, root, mods and custom ROMs, the A52-S will also get 60fps mode for 4K recording as this is capable in the GPU and DSP of the QSD 778, unless Samsung updates for it first.
Overall I would prefer the S20-fe setup, it’s simpler … but we cut the hair in quarters, and you can’t go wrong with either option. These are as good as last year’s flagship cameras, but not as good as this year’s options (S21 Ultra, Pixel 6 Pro, OnePlus 9 Pro).
…. but if I were to buy the A52-s for $ 350, or the S20-fe for $ 450, I would buy the A52-s. It’s cheaper, charger in the box, more updates, better battery life, headphone jack. Dropping slightly better performance, a slightly sharper camera, reverse wireless charging, and DeX functionality. The OnePlus 8t also costs around $ 400, a decent option but still not as good as the other options.

Unfortunately, we have no way to know which one our unit has without taking it apart. ” Comparing it to the FE, “the S20 FE also has a better rear camera.”
Kimovil lists the FE sensor as S5K2LD.

-In addition, Qualcomm modems are better than their competition, many tests have been done before.
-Best software support, Qualcomm releases source code for developers, that’s why things like overclocking aren’t weird for qualcomm chips.
For the average user no difference between the modern mediatek / Exynos / snapdragon ploughshare, but for advanced users you need the Snapdragon ploughshare.

A few years ago it sucked to have Exynos (mostly for us Europeans), but since the Galaxy S21 series and the introduction of the E2100, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.
After buying m31
I will never buy a Samsung in my life …
Even though I had read reviews of many models from Samsung there was this suspension issue so a big no to Samsung from me if you want to invest such an amount then go for another cell phone company. ..
Narazumono, 15 hours agoYes, I would really like Exynos to be as good as the Snapdragon, but unfortunately SD is still the best … moreSnapdragon SOCs are nothing special and over-exaggerated for what they really are, just like Intel vs AMD processors on computers. Their processors tend to have a performance advantage in heavy graphics games due to a slightly better GPU. But for those who don’t play intense 3D games, it doesn’t matter what SOC your phone is. Exynos has some really good midrange processors, its only one in the high end segment Snapdragon outperforms them in performance, but it costs a lot of money and certainly not value for money. The Exynos 9611 on my M21 gives me a good 2 days of battery life with moderate use and there is literally nothing wrong with my Exynos.
Pumpino, 16 hours agoHow is the A52s 5G a better buy than the S20 FE? Or would you consider the FE to be a flagsh … moreWhen I say a “flagship killer”, I use that term in the sense that Samsung, Google, and OnePlus have used in the past. These are devices that don’t have a big downside or deal breaker, and they offer + 90% or more of the flagship experience, but for -60% or less of the price.
There are also great options from Xiaomi, Redmi, and Realme. But these are mostly just mid-range phones with upgraded chipsets, as they lack a full polish that luxury devices get.
The three best high-end (NOT luxury) options you can buy in Q3 2021 are:
2020 OnePlus 8t
Samsung S20-fe based on 2020
2021 Samsung A52-s
The S20-fe is a great device, and very, very similar to the A52-s. The biggest difference between the two is that the S20-fe gives you Reverse Wireless Charging, USB 3.1 and DeX. The A52-s gives you a headphone jack and an additional +1 year of software updates. The differences in their display, cameras, and chipsets are too small to make a significant difference. For example, the QSD 778 is faster than the Exynos 990 but slower than the QSD 865, but all three are in the same performance level.
Also, the S20-fe is a good price, but the A52-s wins here too. It was only $ 300 a few weeks ago which is a steal.
