UnitedHealthcare and Peloton will provide millions more people with access to leading interactive fitness platform

UnitedHealthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH), and Peloton Interactive, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTON) have renewed and expanded their relationship to help more people get or stay active and improve their overall well-being .

Under the new, expanded agreement, up to 10 million UnitedHealthcare business members can become eligible for a one-year Peloton app membership — or receive a three-month waiver for a Peloton All-membership. Access – at no additional cost as part of their health benefits*. Additionally, eligible UnitedHealthcare members in most states will receive preferred pricing on select Peloton connected fitness products, including the Peloton Bike, Bike+ and Tread.

The Peloton offering is already included in most UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored fully insured plans and is now available as an option for organizations with a self-funded plan and fewer than 3,000 employees and dependents. Larger employers with a self-funded plan may also choose to make the Peloton offering available to their employees through a direct agreement with Peloton Corporate Wellness, including preferred pricing on select Peloton connected fitness products.

Eligible UnitedHealthcare members can receive details by email about activating their Peloton app or All-Access membership – or they can log on to myuhc.com to check their eligibility. Once eligible members have claimed their personalized code through their myuhc.com account, they can activate their 12-month subscription to a Peloton App subscription – or a three-month subscription to a Peloton All-Access subscription – at no additional cost. At the end of the 12-month subscription, UnitedHealthcare plan participants will have the option to renew the Peloton app membership at the market rate directly through Peloton; Peloton app membership for UnitedHealthcare members will not automatically renew beyond the 12-month supply.
